Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to and use of Tacite's international service.
Last updated: September 15, 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the international version of Tacite, provided by RUB Conseil SAS, 19 rue Ducourouble, 59000 Lille, France, SIREN 792 792 053, RCS Lille Métropole 792 792 053.
By creating an account or using Tacite, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for protecting access to your account and for activity carried out through it.
An account must not be used fraudulently, unlawfully or on behalf of another person without authorisation.
3. The Tacite service
Tacite helps users capture meeting content, process it temporarily for transcription, and produce summaries.
The international service currently covers Google Meet web, Microsoft Teams web, Zoom web and Tacite Direct 1-to-1. Telephone functionality is not currently included in the international offer.
Supported platforms and features may evolve. Availability may depend on third-party platforms, browser support and technical compatibility.
4. Free plan
The Free plan includes up to 3 hours (10,800 seconds) of actual usage per monthly period. The monthly period is based on the anniversary of the date your account was created. No payment card is required for the Free plan.
If the anniversary day does not exist in a particular month, renewal occurs on the last day of that month. Unused usage does not carry over to the next period.
Usage is measured from the actual duration of processed meetings. A meeting that starts while usage remains available may continue until it ends, even if its duration causes the account to exceed the remaining balance. Once the monthly allowance has been consumed, no new meeting may be started until the next renewal or a plan change.
5. Paid plans
Where made available for international accounts, the paid plans are:
| Plan | Price | Included usage |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | EUR 3.99 / month | 10 hours per billing cycle |
| Pro | EUR 11.99 / month | 30 hours per billing cycle |
Applicable taxes may be added where required. The plan and price applicable to an order are the ones presented before subscription and at checkout.
6. Subscription billing
Paid subscriptions are intended to be recurring monthly subscriptions. Payment processing is handled by Stripe where applicable. A subscription may renew automatically while it remains active.
Stripe may request billing details and tax information. The available subscription-management flow may allow you to update payment details or manage the subscription through Stripe's customer portal.
If a payment fails, Stripe may report the subscription as past due. A subscription may also become canceled when Stripe reports that it has been deleted. The repository does not define a separate grace period.
7. Monthly usage allowance
Each paid subscription includes a usage allocation for every billing cycle: 10 hours for Essential and 30 hours for Pro. At the beginning of a new billing cycle, the full allocation for the selected plan becomes available again.
Usage is measured using the actual duration of processed meetings. Meeting duration is recorded in seconds and is not treated as a count of meetings. Unused hours expire at the end of the billing cycle and are not carried over to the next cycle.
A meeting that starts while quota remains may continue until it ends, even if its duration exceeds the remaining balance. Once the quota for the billing cycle is exhausted, no new meeting may be started until a new cycle makes quota available or an applicable plan change provides access.
8. Upgrade, downgrade and cancellation
Subscription management is available through the Stripe customer portal when a Stripe customer record exists. The applicable effect of a cancellation, plan change or any prorating is determined by the options presented by Stripe for the subscription.
The repository does not establish a separate upgrade or downgrade schedule, immediate-access rule or prorating policy. No grace period is promised.
9. Refunds and withdrawal rights
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights, including any mandatory withdrawal, cancellation or refund rights that may apply.
For a refund or withdrawal request, contact contact@tacite.app. A specific commercial refund policy for the international service is not documented in the repository.
10. Meeting participants and lawful use
You are responsible for using Tacite lawfully in your meetings. Where required by applicable law, you must inform participants and obtain any consent required before processing their speech or meeting content.
You must not use Tacite for unlawful surveillance, covert interception or any use that violates confidentiality obligations or third-party rights. Tacite may provide participant information or consent mechanisms depending on the meeting flow, but you remain responsible for ensuring lawful use.
11. Prohibited use
You must not:
- use Tacite for illegal, fraudulent or abusive purposes;
- attempt to bypass quotas, payment controls or other service limits;
- interfere with the service, obtain unauthorised access or introduce malware;
- intercept or surveil communications unlawfully; or
- infringe the rights of Tacite, its providers or third parties.
12. User content and summaries
You retain the rights you hold in your meeting content. You grant Tacite only the limited rights necessary to process that content and provide the service. Tacite does not claim ownership of your meeting content.
Generated summaries may contain errors and should be reviewed when accuracy matters.
13. AI-generated content
Summaries are generated using automated and AI processing. They may omit, misinterpret or inaccurately represent information. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for important decisions.
14. Availability and service changes
Tacite is provided with reasonable care, but temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, incidents, security measures or changes affecting external platforms.
Tacite may evolve and features or supported integrations may change. These changes do not create a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or permanent compatibility.
15. Suspension and termination
Tacite may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary because of fraud, a security risk, unlawful use, a material breach of these Terms or an unpaid subscription where applicable. Any action will be proportionate to the circumstances where practicable.
You may stop using the service and cancel a subscription through the available subscription-management functionality. The current repository does not expose a self-service account-deletion flow; contact contact@tacite.app for account-related requests.
16. Data and privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Tacite Privacy Policy.
17. Intellectual property
The Tacite software, website and brand elements are owned or licensed by RUB Conseil, unless otherwise stated. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.
User content remains subject to the rights of the user and any relevant third parties. See also our Legal Notice.
18. Limitation of liability
Tacite is provided using reasonable care. AI summaries may contain inaccuracies, and you are responsible for reviewing automated output before relying on it for important decisions.
RUB Conseil is not responsible for consequences resulting solely from a failure to review automated output. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
19. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory protections that may apply to consumers in their country of residence.
21. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when the service or applicable legal requirements change. Material changes should be communicated where appropriate. A new version applies prospectively in accordance with applicable law.
